Comments: Among the Ladybird Beetles or Lady Beetles (Coccinellidae) this species stands out, being more oblong than most, and having pink coloration rather than the more common orange.

As the Multicolored Asian Lady Beetle (Harmonia axyridis) has moved into our area, many native species have been crowded out, but Coleomegilla maculata is one species that still is present in fair numbers despite the invasion.
