Comments: This beetle happened to pose on my hand, necessitating a one-handed photography technique. Rotting wood and fungi are the more usual locations for Handsome Fungus Beetles, however.

In the eastern United States and Canada, no species of this family is encountered more often than Endomychus biguttatus.
