Comments: Podabrus is a very species-rich genus. Most species are economically beneficial, feeding on aphids and other tiny pests.

Adults are usually found on foliage, where they are seeking out their prey.

Podabrus rugosulus is found in much of eastern North America, ranging at least as far west as Illinois. They are most commonly encountered in June.
