Comment: This species is found only on the island of Bonaire.

The drab, mottled coloration allows these lizards to blend in very well with the branches on which they live. Once a male spots a rival male, however, he will give up attempts at camoflage and display his bright orange dewlap.

In the Papiamentu language widespread on Bonaire, locals call this lizard Totèki or Kaku.
