Subject: Bare crabapple and fall colors, Malus sp.

Comments: While I enjoy visiting deserts, tropical forests, and stands of arctic conifers, I am always glad to get back home to West Virginia where we enjoy the colors of autumn. The colors are nice as they are mixed with green (as here), and they are equally beautiful when interspersed with the brown of dying leaves.

The "frame" here is provided by a young crabapple tree, denuded of all but a couple of leaves.
