Comments: During the height of the Puffin nesting season visitors are not allowed to come ashore at Inner Farne.

At the time these photos were taken in August, though, the young had fledged, and their parents could still be seen walking in and out of the burrows.

Many birds were also resting on the cliffs, as here, between their trips over the North Sea to feed.
