Comments: Members of this species-rich genus in the family Dolichopodidae can skate on the surface of the water.

Easily seen here is the trait that gave this family its common name, the Long-Legged Flies. The subfamily for this genus is Hydrophorinae.

This individual is feeding on a another tiny member of the Order Diptera.
