Comments: This acrobatic Montezuma Oropendola hangs from a vine and reveals the tail feathers which are yellow below. From above, the tail is brown with yellow edges.

In the case of male Montezuma Oropendola, the bird bows deeply as it gives it strange, gurgling cry. Often the bow is so deep that the bird ends up hanging upside down below its branch. Reportedly some especially talented males swing all the way around the branch in one fluid motion as they vocalize.
