Inuvik Region, Northwest Territories, Landscape image

Subject: Landscape, Boreal forest and wetland

Location: Inuvik region in the northwest part of the Northwest Territories, Canada

Stock Number: 09-36519

Comments: The Northwest Territories is nearly as large as Alaska, yet its population is more than 90% smaller than Alaska's.

Though it seems like a frontier region, the population of the Northwest Territories is primarily urban, with 58 percent of the people living in small cities such as Yellow Knife and Inuvik.

It is a great place to hunt, fish, camp, watch birds, and take photographs.
