Comment: The Organ Mountains are a small but rugged group found to the east of Las Cruces, New Mexico. Organ Peak is at 8,872 feet above sea level.

The mountains run south toward (and nearly reach) El Paso, Texas.

The group takes it name from the resemblence of some of the mountain faces to organ pipes.
