Subject: Bristol Bay coastline

Location: Togiak National Wildlife Refuge, Alaska

Stock Number: 05-21233

Comments: Togiak National Wildlife Refuge is the size of Connecticut and Rhode Island combined, but it is one of the least-visited refuges in the system.

Among the terrestrial mammals commonly seen here are Alaska Brown Bear, Caribou, Gray Wolf, and Moose. In season the bear feed upon the abundant fish, including Rainbow Trout and five kinds of salmon.

The bird list for Togiak refuge includes more than two hundred species, among them the recent additions Steller's Sea Eagle and a nesting pair of Northern Hawk Owls.
