Comments: In addition to the Flamingos, this pond also had Caracaras and two members of the parrot family nearby.

Flamingos are commonly found feeding in the ponds of Washington-Slagbaai Park. At the other end of the island, near the salt plant, is one of only four (worldwide) nesting grounds for this species.
